Can you belive it?  The main event is just over a week away! 🙂

Some of you may be thinking, "Damn!  This is a costume and theme party.  WTF am I gonna wear!?"

Well if you’re trying to be old skool hip hop, I got some ideas for ya!

First off, you gotta rock the right shoes.  Pumas or the classic Addidas Shell Toe are staples in footwear from back in the day.

Unless you are gonna rock a high top fade, some finger waves, or an afro, you best be wearing a Kangol or the Puma round topl!

After that, you can complete your look depending on the vibe you want.  Maybe you want to be casual but fly in a velour warm up suit like MC Shan or LL Cool J, radio optional.

 Or, you might want to go for the stylish but street smart looks of Eric B and Rakim.

 Oh almost forgot; if you want to wear Gazelles and get some lines shaved into your fade, look no further than MC Hammer for inspiration.

For the ladies, you can come as a B-Girl which gives you plenty of options.  Or go for my favorite look:  Salt-N-Pepa! 😀

It’s not mandatory that you come in a costume or look.  I think we will all have more fun if you do though!  Whatever the case, come out and have a good time.

I am ready to get this party started for real.  I hope you’re as excited as I am!  There’s still a lot to do though, so I won’t get ahead of myself.  First, I want to thank you for checking out my little piece of cyber space.  We’ve come a long way baby!  They didn’t have stuff like this when I was a kid.  Haha!

If you’re one of my VIPs, you probably got the email that annouced the big event.  What a debacle!  I was sending it out to you and all my other friends and something went wrong; I ended up sending the email 4 or 5 times to everyone!  On top of that, the links in the email didn’t work.  Booooooooo!  I was pretty embarassed to say the least.  I mean, coming off with a novice error like that…sending an email!?  You would wonder if I told you I worked with computers, right? 🙂 All that aside, the word is out and planning is underway.
